CARDOW, Stella Marie—

Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Riverside Glen, Guelph, on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Stella M. (nee Weiler) Cardow, in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late Earl E. Cardow (2011). She was the cherished mother of Diane Figliuzzi (Bruno), Terry (Meri), Dolores Vokey (Wayne) and Glenn (Barbara). Stella was the loved grandmother of Dr. Jeff Figliuzzi, Rob Figliuzzi, Dr. Jason Figliuzzi, Maria Di Lello, Lanny Cardow, Andra Cardow, Tesha Slack, Sara O’Donnell, Ben Vokey, Jessica Vokey, Samantha Cardow, Jenna Cardow and Mitchel Cardow and the dear great-grandmother of 15 great-grandchildren. Stella was predeceased by her siblings, Harvey Weiler, Dorothy Hergott, Florien Weiler, Dolores Schuett, Anne Strauss, and Donald Weiler. She was survived by her sisters-in-law Rita Cardow and Mary Cudney, and also by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home,Dublin Chapel 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Sunday, May 14, 2017 from 1 - 5 p.m. A Vigil for Stella will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk St. Guelph on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. Interment, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Basilica of Our Lady Building Fund or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
