Shirley’s family sadly announces her passing at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, on October 6, 2018 in her 89th year.
Shirley is the last survivor of her immediate family. Predeceased by her dad James and mother Violet, siblings Viola, Eileen, Julia (Carter Melancon), Jack, Joseph (late Jean), and Thomas Carter. Loving aunt of nieces Gloria, Paula, Judith, Lynn, Michele, and Christine. Predeceased by nephew Larry Carter (late Dorothy), and niece Susan Coghlin. Loved great aunt and great-great aunt to many nieces and nephews in the family tree who brought her a lot of joy.
A funeral mass for Shirley will be held at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk St, Guelph, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. Interment at Marymount Cemetery.
