Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in his 83rd year. Dearly beloved husband of Mavis Chrissley (nee Rhude). Loved father of Darlene, Mervyn (Brenda) and Timothy (Betty). Cherished grandfather of Richard and Cameron Russell, Emily, Meagan and Madison Chrissley and Rachel (Daniel) Clarke. Great grandfather to Noah Aiden Clarke. An ordained minister of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, he served in Enterprise, Prescott, Mount Forest, North Bay, Fort Erie, Ancaster and Guelph.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday 7-9 p.m. and at Parkview Church, 89 Speedvale Ave., E., Guelph, Friday 1-2 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Parkview Church on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment Sandhill Cemetery, Battersea. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Gordon H. Chrissley in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
