CLARK, Catherine Rosemary (nee Ross)

Posted

Passed peacefully with loving family by her side on November 8, 2016. This was just a few days shy of her 69th Birthday. Rosemary, to all who knew her, fought a courageous 6 month fight with Cancer. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents Zelma and Bob Ross of Richmond Hill and her very special brother Bobby Ross. Rosemary is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dave. She was a loving Mom to Ross (Karen), and proud Stepmom to Paul (Liz), Leeanne, Laurie (Louis), Melanie (Perry), and Scott (Misako). Sister to brother Ian (Fran) of Orillia, and Aunt to Whitney Lenoce, and Cam Ross. Proud Grandma Rose of Brendan, Kieran, Evan, Teagan, Paulina, Ethan, Emma, Sia, Paige, Brook, Mia, Lea, and Leif. Rosemary was many years a dedicated teacher and coach starting her career at John F Ross C.V.I. and the balance at Centennial C.V.I. in Guelph, Ontario. Up until her very last days she continued to be proud of her relationships with her students and their achievements. Indeed, Rosemary had a caring nurse who was a former student attend to her at the Cancer Centre. To all who knew her, Rosemary was a strong, intelligent, and thoughtful woman. She was a voracious reader, loved crosswords, and she excelled at sports such as skiing, golf and, of late, Pickleball. Rosemary was an incredible hostess, and to enjoy one of her many gourmet meals, was indeed a treat. During the past 6 months, Rosemary spent countless hours at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre and Hospital. She took the opportunity to personally thank her caregivers as often as possible. Rosemary’s family would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, support staff and volunteers for their professionalism and honest caring. Although her stay was brief, we truly appreciated the compassion of the staff at Hospice Wellington. Her family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers Rosemary would have appreciated donations to The Canadian Cancer Society and Hospice Wellington.
