Peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital with his daughters by his side on Wednesday, May 16th, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Mickey Cox (2013). Adored Dad of Carolyn Farmer (Doug) and Jennifer Pearsall (Bob). Cherished Grandpa to Josh and Zach, and specially remembered by Vanessa Belcastro (late Michael 2017), Stephen Pearsall and Samantha Farmer. Best friend to Coreen Mitter. Predeceased by his parents Mary and James Cox, and sisters Edie Weir, Anna Jones, and Ruth Ball. Fondly remembered by Lloyd and Nancy Wilkinson, Tom Ball, Jean Wilkinson and many nieces and nephews, and long time friends Bob and Liz McCrindle.
Bill was well respected throughout the construction industry where he enjoyed a successful career. Longtime member of IBEW Local 804 and Waverley Lodge No. 361. Bill loved the many fishing trips through the years with family and friends and his travels throughout the world with Mickey. We will miss our charming, generous and witty Dad. He was a true gentleman.
A special thank you to the 7th floor staff at the Guelph General Hospital for taking such good care of Dad. A private graveside service will be held. A Celebration of Life for family and friends of Bill will take place on Friday May 25th, 2018 at 17 Fairway Lane, Guelph from 3 to 5 p.m. Please park in Guelph Country Club parking lot off Woodlawn Road.
