Howard Alexander Crawford passed away peacefully on March 22, 2016, in his 86th year. He was beloved husband of Marion (nee McCain) of 56 years. Loved father of Bradley (Christine), Kim (Grant), Steve (Lorna), and Keith. Brother of Dorothy Yule (David-deceased), Joanne Kourtz (Peter).
He will be missed by his seven grandchildren Kyle (Sarah), Christopher, Blythe, Cody, Brett, Collin, and Katey.
Howard took over the family transport business from his father Jim and mother Helen until his sons were able to carry on operations. He loved hunting, fishing and trips to Algonquin Park and his family cottage at Sauble Beach where there were many fond memories. Howard had a great love of curling which started as a schoolboy. The Guelph Curling Club was one of his favourite places where he experienced much camaraderie with good friends. He had a keen sense of humour and loved a good storey. Howard was a unique person and he will truly be missed by family and all who knew him.
Family would like to thank all the staff at the Guelph General Hospital, especially the Emergency Department where he had many visits this past year. Special thanks go to the staff at the Cambridge Country Manor where he spent his last few weeks.

A private family service has been held. Family invites you to a celebration of Howard’s Life which will be held at the Guelph Curling Club, 816 Woolwich St, Guelph, ON N1H 6J2 on Thursday March 31st from 12:00 - to 2:00 pm.
