It’s with great sadness that we announce Garry passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on December 31, 2022 at the age of 76.
Garry is survived by Catherine, his love and devoted wife of 57 years and will be lovingly remembered by his sons Robb (Vince) & Tony (Erica), his grandchildren Devon, Kayla, Oliva, Madison, Nathan and his brother Don (Val).
For many years Garry had a love of being on the water and spent his summers either fishing or boating. He wasn't a fan of Canadian winters, so after retirement he spent the colder months in sunny Florida. Through his recent years he was very passionate about pickleball and the Pickleball community where he loved playing, teaching lessons, and refereeing in the Fergus, Guelph, and Kitchener-Waterloo areas. Garry will be missed by his family and many friends that he has made over the years.
As per Garry's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on January 21, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm at the Marden Community Center located at 7368 Wellington Road 30, Guelph Ontario, N1H 6J2. Memorial donations can be made to the Guelph General Hospital where Garry was cared for during his final days.
