Passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, December 31, 2018.
George was the loving husband for over 50 years to Rosalie (nee: Rae) and the beloved father to Michelle and Lesley (Marc).
He will be fondly remembered by his mother in law Agnes Rae and also by his cherished grandchildren Krischan, Natasha, Augustus and Anthony. George is also survived by his brother Don (Karen) and by his sisters Dorothy (Larry) and Karen (Ted).
His family will receive friends for a celebration of life to commemorate his life at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1 – 4 p.m.
If so desired and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Chalmers Community Services Centre, 41 MacDonell St., Guelph N1H 2Z4 or to Carlo Fadani Regional Cancer Centre, 2200 Eglinton Ave., W., Mississauga, ON L5N 2N1 (Peel Regional Cancer Centre) would be appreciated by his family.
