Died peacefully on March 23, 2018 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, having recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Treasured husband of Fran for almost 56 years. Loving and supportive Dad of Kevin (Sarah) and Nancie (Tim) Smith. Proud and much loved Grandad of Emilie (Josh), Jacob, Kyra and Cameron. Jim is predeceased by his parents Jim and Alice Darlington and brothers William and Gerald.
Fond memories of Jim will be held by classmates from OAC’62, colleagues from the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, University of Guelph, Bank of Montreal, the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 275, Fergus, relatives and many friends.
Family and friends may visit on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm at St. Matthias and St. James the Apostle Anglican Church, 86 Glasgow St. North, Guelph. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11:00am at the same location.
