DEMPSEY, Sheila June

June 3, 1957 - May 1, 2016. It's with aching and heavy broken hearts that we must announce the passing of our rose. Sheila - warmly loved mother, sister, daughter, aunt, beautiful wife and coveted friend. Sheila waged an intense battle against cancer for many years and showed each and every one of us what courage looks like. Through every phase of her journey, Sheila navigated herself by her love of life and allowed that to provide her with much needed strength that gave us all many more years to love her. She found immense pleasure in the small details; listening to nature on the deck at the family cottage, stoking a bonfire, or basking in the scent of home in ocean air. Each of us who had the great privilege of knowing and loving Sheila will incorporate the lessons she's taught us and let her live on through our own demonstrations of strength and will. The family would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Hospice Wellington who were of great support in a very trying time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the hospice so that other families in need may benefit from their care. (hospicewellington.org ).
