After a short illness, our family is sad to announce Ronald passed away at home in Guelph, surrounded by love on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Loved father of Vivienne Corvinelli (Sergio). Proud grandfather of Martin (Gaynor), their children Cerys and James; Vicky (Phil), their son Connor; James (Anetta); Thomas and Emily. Ron will be sadly missed by his brother Bernard (Sheila), nephews Peter and Stuart and their families; sister in law Edna, nephew Ian, his daughter Billie, and nephew Stuart (Catie); nephew John; niece Pamela; their families and many friends both in Canada and the UK.
Dad was a legend in our family, born in Liverpool, and loved to walk in the mountains of Wales where he lived for many years and was active in the Liverpool Maritime Museum until he left to come to us in Guelph. He was still an avid Liverpool Football supporter. All the children in our family will remember the endless stories he told and how he never tired of helping them play and learn. He has left a huge space in our hearts and in our lives. We will miss him greatly; he was one in a million. Cremation has taken place.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at their home at 19 Trimble Crescent, Guelph on Sunday, May 19th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Everyone welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, https://www.heartandstroke.ca/ or to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes) https://www.jdrf.ca/ would be appreciated.
