Beloved daughter to Hennie and Brian, granddaughter to Grace DeBoer, sister to Adam and Mike and half-sister to Tracy Lesperance, died tragically along with her son, Kiefer and partner Mike O’Neil (Mo) in a car accident on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She will be greatly missed by her surviving daughter Rowan, her (9p minus) stepdaughter Alex, stepfather Chris Miller, aunts, uncles and everyone in her large extended family, each of her many friends and the customers at the restaurant. She was as strong and brave, as caring and creative, as adventurous and generous a person imaginable. A true renaissance woman: an artist and an athlete. Creator of pancakes, no child’s toy or request too difficult. A poet, a pool player, a professional Highland Games athlete and the first female competitor in Canada, who also competed on the extreme TV obstacle course show, Wipe Out, filmed in Argentina, too dangerous for western venues. Loving and loved. Bold and beautiful. We are all grateful for your life, fortunate to have been part of it, heartbroken at its termination.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David St. South, Fergus. Everyone is welcome to join the family at Jackie’s restaurant, JJ’s Family Dining, 747 St. Andrew St. West, Fergus following the visitation.

Donations in Jackie’s memory may be made to trust fund for her daughter Rowan.
