With heavy hearts we said our final farewell to our mother and mémère, Marielle Desroches who passed away peacefully, with family by her side on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Our mom has joined her beloved husband Jean-Guy Desroches (November 5, 2006), her only daughter Lynda Desroches (September 28, 2016) and by her great-grandson Brady Lacroix (July 24, 2015) in eternal peace. Marielle is survived by her three remaining sons and their spouses; Michel (Kathy), Claude (Jenn), and André (Myrtle). She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren Andrew (Jessica), Nicholas (Michelle), Kara (Logan), Shawna, Ryan, Tanya (Jay), Colby (Megan), Wesley (Jill), Amanda (Sean), Alley (Andrew), Josh, Mat, Jenny, and Lauren as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Therese Poitras. Marielle was our matriarch, her strength and love will always be remembered and cherished. 
The family will receive friends at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph to honour and celebrate her life on Sunday, October 9, 2016 from noon followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Ontario Kidney Foundation.
