Di PEDE, Carlo

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Carlo Di Pede on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Carlo, in his 92nd year, was the beloved husband, for 61 years, of Tina Di Pede. He was the dear father of Joe (Florie), Mary (Domenic Iafrate), and Claudio (Liz Amarelo). Carlo is fondly remembered by seven grandchildren: Andrew (Natasha), Adam (Stephanie), Olivia, Daniel (Vanessa), Marcus, Eros, and Ethan Rodrigues; and by two great-grandchildren: Cora Iafrate and Leonardo Di Pede. He is survived by his brother Paolo (Maria) Di Pede, by his brother-in-law Luciano Pellegrini (late sister Giuseppina) and by his sisters-in-law Gina Di Pede (late brother Mario) and Vincenza Di Pede (late brother Domenico) of Italy. Carlo was predeceased by twelve siblings. 

Carlo will always be remembered for his kind and gentle nature; endless positive attitude, his joyous spirit; deep faith and endless love for family. 

Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Carlo will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
