With love and family around him, Howard passed peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018, in his 91st year.
Devoted husband of Betty (nee Smith) for over 68 years.
Loved Dad of Marian (Jerry) Wink of Orillia, Marjorie (the late Tony – 2007) Stokman of Guelph and Ken (Cynthia) Dool of Guelph.
Cherished Grandpa of Bob (Jackie) Wink, Sandy (Darryl) Armstrong, Kate (Mark) Connell, Lisa Stokman, Lauren Dool, and Craig (Heather Black) Dool.
Great Grandpa of Evan, Sadie, Rohan, Cedar, Sara and James.
Born in New Liskeard to Thomas and Mabel Dool.
Dear brother of Margaret (Jerry) Dowden of Brantford. Predeceased by brothers Art, John, Tom, Bill and Bob.
Howard was in the printing business for over 50 years. In Brantford, he worked at Hurley Printing then moved to Guelph Printing Service. His love of cars led him to Hamilton’s Shell Station in Guelph, where he worked evenings and weekends.
Family was always Dad’s priority. He was admired as a gentleman and could fix or repair just about anything. His love and support will be missed by family and friends.

Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
