Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre on Friday, June 9th, 2018. Evelyn Frances (nee McCann) Dyer, in her 96th year, was the beloved wife of the late Eric Wilmur Dyer (2008). She was the dear mother of Robert (Lynda), Kenneth (Colleen), and Nancy Caravaggio. Evelyn is fondly remembered by grandchildren Krista,
Shelly, Ann (David), Cathy, Shannon (Luc), Daniel (Nicole), Jenny (Tjeerd), Nicholas (Kristine) and Mark, and by great-grandchildren Paul, Domenic, Kalayla, Kolten, Jaylin, Brooklynn, Owen, Evan and Lucy. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents James and Caroline (nee Ginter) McCann, by her brothers Albert and Fred, by sisters Marge, Gladys and Olive, by her son Edward and by her son-in-law Nicholas Caravaggio. Evelyn was loved by all that knew her. Her kind and gentle nature always won you over. To those that knew her well, she was called Evy. She was always so happy to see you and so appreciative. Family gatherings were always a must, and she loved to cook for everyone. She was a hard worker, always going above and beyond. Evy loved to laugh and joke with everyone. Her smile lit up the room when she entered. In fact, in her final days she was cracking jokes and laughing with her family. At St. Joseph’s Health Centre, which she considered home, she was always telling the staff how she loved them. They loved her too! We will all miss you dearly and remember you always Evelyn.
