Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, December 11, 2017, in her 94th year. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Ronald Sydney Ecott (2005). Loved mother of Janice, Lynda and husband Wayne Levadoux, and Kevin. Predeceased by sister Vida Stone and parents Harry and Myrtle Card. Hazel was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from the Guelph General Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She was employed at the Guelph General Hospital and the Elliott Home until her retirement in 1989.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph one hour prior to the funeral service which will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. Memorial contributions to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital or Bracelet of Hope would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Hazel I. Ecott in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
