EIDLIN, Fred

Passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 73.  Beloved husband of Elina Zavgorodny.  Proud father of Barry (Anne Quismorio) of Montreal QC, Eric (Renae Waneka) of Berkeley, CA and Alena (Stephen Han) of Wasaga Beach.  Cherished grandfather of Elsie, Clayton and Ryo.  Dear brother of Doris Cohen of Rochester, NY; uncle of Stephen, David and Sharon and their families.  Fred was a long time professor of political science at the University of Guelph and also a renowned expert on Eastern European politics and the philosophy of social science.  He will be fondly remembered by many colleagues and friends worldwide.
