ELLIS, Clifford Roy

January 7, 1941 – October 29, 2016 

The family announces, with great sadness, that Cliff Ellis of Guelph, Ontario, passed away at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, from complications of leukemia. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Colleen (nee McKeigue), his two sons Kevin (Karen) and Keith (Amelia), his granddaughters Emily and Lindsay Ellis, and Jennifer Veeneman and her mother Jeannette, his brother Robert (Marilyn), his sister-in-law Venora and by many nieces and nephews. Cliff was predeceased by his first wife, Claude Bertrand, and by his parents Tallis Sr. and Bertha (nee Crosby), and his brother Tallis Jr. Cliff was an entomology professor at the University of Guelph for many years. 

ln keeping with his wishes, Cliff’s body has been cremated. Visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 10-11 a.m., with a Memorial Mass following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. ln lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate a donation to Cliff's favorite charity, Wyndham House, or to a charity of one’s choice.
