FERNANDES, Tommaso

Passed away peacefully, with the three loves of his life by his side, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the age of
70. Beloved husband and soulmate, of 47 years, to Giustina (nee Fata). Treasured father of Emily (James Richards) and Tina (Chris Kilger). Cherished Nonno of Matthew, Nicolas and Adriana Richards. Dear brother to Giuseppina (Martino Buffone) and Lina (late Antonio Pagliaro). Predeceased by parents Emilia (nee Spina) and Antonio Fernandes, brother Franco Fernandes and in-laws Ortenzia (nee Cuglietta) and Nicola Fata. Tommaso will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A special mention to his close espresso buddies; Roy, Maureen, Dave and Esmerelda for all the company. A very special thank you to Dr. Adam Wilson for his medical and emotional support. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow. A private family interment will take place at a later time. In place of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
