Born July 13, 1924 – in the Netherlands, he died in his 94th year surrounded by family on Saturday November 18, 2017.
Predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Bernice (nee deBoer). Ted was a loving, faithful husband, father, grandfather and Opa to all.
He will be missed by his four children: Catharine (Greg), Ronald (Nancy), Wilfred (Gertie), Bryan (Christine), 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Ted retired from his career at the UofG but continued his extensive volunteer service at church, school and in the community. He loved to write and tell stories to encourage and entertain. His strong character and tireless drive will be missed by many.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 5 – 8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at New Life Christian Reformed Church, 400 Victoria Rd. N, Guelph, ON.
