Member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and former employee of U.A.P. (N.A.P.A.). At the Guelph General Hospital on Saturday, June 4, 2016. Jim Fountain, in his 86th year, beloved husband of Helen (Barnaby) Fountain, his soul mate for 63 years. Loving father of Marion Alksne (Arnie) of British Columbia and Ruth Jenkins (Ken) of Guelph. Loved grandfather of Sarah Newman (Scott), Matthew McGuigan, Shannon Terry (Mike), and Nicole Jacobs, and great grandfather of Karissa Newman. Dear brother of Vera Grills (late Dick), late William, Ted (Mary), Alice Woodhouse (late Bob), Tom (Anna-Margaret), Grace Stewart (Harvey), Joyce Morrell (late Harry), Don (Jane), late Ken, late Mary Snow (late Nelson), Peter (Janet), Linda Schneider (Dave), Donna Revell (late Steve), and Doris Willard (Gerald). Dear brother-in-law of Catharine Johnston (late Richard). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was born June 16, 1930 and throughout his life he became everyone’s go-to-guy. Visitation at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 – 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday June 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
