Passed away peacefully at home in North Fort Myers, Florida, surrounded by his family, on July 8, 2019 after a lengthy illness.

Paul Fox, formerly of Guelph, in his 71st. year, the loving husband for 48 years of Sally (Aldom) formerly of Guelph, dear father of Kym Fox-Bisbe (Lynna) and Bryan Joseph (Mary), and beloved Papa of 5 grandchildren he adored: Tori Fox, Ana Fox, Kat Fox, Cooper Bisbe, and London Hurley, all of Florida. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph G. Fox (April 22, 2007) and Madeleine M. (O’Brien) (Nov. 6, 2004) of Guelph. Survived by siblings Joseph Jr. (Jay) and his wife Dolly, of Toronto; Susan Fox-Hallman, of Guelph; Peter, of Calgary, Alta.; Michael and his wife Cathy of Sackville, New Brunswick; and Brenda and her husband, Greg, of Mannotick, Ont.; his aunt, Marry McCombie (O’Brien), of Arizona; and uncle Marcel O’Brien, of Guelph, plus many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Paul served as a police officer In Guelph from 1969-1977 and then went on to manage Mother’s Pizza in Guelph and Scarborough and the Mohawk Inn in Milton . He also served as a salesman for Nordic Pharmaceuticals and Shiley Medical supplies before he and his young family moved to Florida in 1992 where he pursued a career in real estate and enjoyed the sun and water while boating, fishing, and playing golf.

Paul survived several serious health crises in recent years and his calm bravery and fighting spirit was an inspiration to all, aided enormously by a devoted care-giving team spearheaded his wife Sally, with the help of a virtual army of helpers drawn from family, friends and professionals. His dry wit, gentle teasing nature and devotion to his family will be missed by all who knew him.
