February 26, 1931 – February 19, 2017

Passed away peacefully following cardiac surgery, on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in his 86th year, at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener. Beloved husband of Marjorie for 60 wonderful and loving years of marriage. Father of a most caring and considerate son, Scott and dear daughter-in-law Rosemary of Appleton, Wisconsin. Proud grandfather of Rob and Calum. Predeceased by his daughter Lori and parents Margaret and John Fraser, Aberdeenshire, Scotland/ Niagara Falls, Ontario. Bob was the last and youngest member of a family of 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Dear brother-in-law of Grace Abs and Bill & Trudy Omand of Kitchener. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Bob resided in Dundas for over 40 years, then Village by the Arboretum in Guelph for the past 17 years.

Bob, a true gentleman, was employed in the forestry department of Ontario Hydro for 40 years. When he retired in 1990, he enjoyed wintering in Florida for a quarter of a century. Bob was active throughout his life as a skier, golfer, bridge and euchre player, square dancer, avid reader and world traveler.

Bob will be missed for his genuine warmth, pleasant smile and kindness by all who knew him. One of his greatest pleasures was being in the company of others. He was truly a 'people person' and blessed with many friends.

Special thanks to Becky Hill and the staff in the CVICU at St. Mary’s General Hospital, Kitchener, for all your support and compassion.
