It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Diane Gavin on April 16th, in her 67th year, peacefully at her home with her family by her side.
Beloved wife of William Gavin, for 37 wonderful years. Loving mother of Mark and Michelle Dykun and Nicole Gavin. Cherished grandmother of Rachel and Angela Vanderham, Brianna and Christian Dykun, Rebecca Rockery Endicott and Myles Irwin. Loved mother-in-law of Rodger Vanderham, Kayley Dykun and Richard Irwin. Loved and missed by her father Albert Griffiths and predeceased by her mother Lena Griffiths. Missed by her siblings; Treena, Kenneth and David Griffiths, Teresa Fisher, Florence Walton and predeceased by her siblings Berenice Bishop and Wilma Lee Hilton. She will be thoughtfully remembered by many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.
Diane was a kind and generous soul. She was a truly giving person who devoted her life to her family. She will be dearly missed. A celebration of life gathering will be held for the family at a later date.
A tree will be planted in memory of Elizabeth (Diane) Gavin in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm
