Dave Gordon, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2017 at his home in Guelph, surrounded by his family, following an eight month battle with cancer. Loving husband of 48 years to Cheryl Gordon. Dearly loved father of Brian Gordon of Cambridge, and Andrea Gordon (Poul-Erik Nielsen) of Guelph. Cherished brother of Glenn (Shirley) Gordon of Bracebridge, ON. Dave will be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, and especially by his Gordon and Davis cousins. Dave was born on May 19, 1937 in Guelph, and was predeceased by his parents Elsa and Frank Gordon. He was a longtime employee of Biltmore Hats. Dave was known for his love of his family, reading, gardening, fishing, and the Toronto Maple Leafs . The family would like to thank Dr. Gawron, Dr.Phillips, Dr. Knight, and Dr. William Ruddock. Also special thanks to CCAC and nurses Laura Thomas and Mindy Neil.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kortright Presbyterian Church, 55 Devere Dr., Guelph on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Guelph Humane Society, or RCSCC AJAX - Guelph Sea Cadets would be appreciated by the family.
