GORMALL, Florence Marie (née Haelzle)

Passed away peacefully at the St. Joseph's Health Centre in Guelph on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late John Gormall (2003). Cherished mother of John (Daniel) Gormall of Guelph and Maureen (Christopher) Brook of Toronto. Dear sister of Dorothy Herron-Gale of Strathroy. Predeceased by her brothers Edward (Betty) Haelzle, Frank (Alice) Haelzle and by her sisters Audrey (Art) Schefter and Jean (Bill) Peplow. Florence made an impact in so many lives. She will be truly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Born and raised in Mildmay, Florence was proud to be a Bruce County girl. She was beautiful, talented and fearless. Her positive outlook and warm, engaging manner endeared her to many and she cherished her life-long friendships. After a long career at the University of Guelph (Animal & Poultry Science Department) Florence retired and continued to travel the world until she saw everything she wanted to see – a life well lived.

Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 11a.m. to 1p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1p.m. Cremation to follow. Entombment of ashes at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario.
