GRIFFIOEN, Simon

Passed away on July 1, 2017 at the age of 86. Simon was the beloved husband of Johanna (Batelaan) Griffioen. He was the dear father of Peter and his wife Martine, Sandra and her husband Nick Koiter, all of Guelph, Ernie and his wife Kim, of Lindsay, and Ken and his wife Mari, of Wisconsin, U.S.A. Simon was the loved opa of 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Willie Overdijk and her husband Johannes of Barrie, late Bill and his late wife Gerrie, late Henk and his wife Johanna of Kitchener, Jane Uyl and her late husband John of Guelph, Joanne Oosterdag and her late husband Han of Mississauga, the late Nick and his wife Mary of Bowmanville, Ida Andringa and her husband Gordon of Bowmanville, the late Japp and his late wife Dinie, the late Rie, and Jan and his wife Greetje all of Holland. 

Friends and family are invited to the First Christian Reformed Church, 287 Water Street, Guelph on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held for Simon on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Private interment will be held at Farnham Cemetery, Arkell.
