GROBBO, Carmela

At Riverside Glen Long Term Care, Guelph, on Friday, May 27, 2016. Carmela (Girardi) Grobbo, in her 98th year, was the beloved wife of the late Tullio Grobbo (1983). She was the loving mother of John and his wife Anne, Kathy Lawson and her husband Reed, David and his wife Heather, and the late Dennis (1979), and the late Dino (1991). She was the dear Nonna of David Jr., Nicole , Kelly McBride, and Kimberley Morrow, and Bis Nonna of Kayla, Lea, and Nicholas. Carmela was the last surviving sibling of the Girardi family. She is survived by one sister-in-law in Canada, Bruna Girardi of Guelph, and by many nieces and nephews in Italy and Canada. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Carmela will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Church 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
