2021-12-31 Beppe Guidolin

Passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Wednesday December 29, 2021 at Stirling Heights Nursing Home in Cambridge.

Joseph (Beppe) Guidolin was born August 25, 1928 in Valla di Riese Pio X Treviso Italy to Eugenio and Angela (Pellizzari) Guidolin. He was the youngest and last surviving brother of Angelo, Regina Baggio, Anacleto, Antonio, Giovanni and Maria Berno

Beppe married February 9, 1956 to Lucia Tonello in Castello di Godego where they had their first child Elio (Christine) in 1957.

In 1961 Beppe and the family set sail to Canada for a better life. They settled in Guelph, Ontario with the help of his sister Maria and brother in law Liberale Berno. In 1962 they welcomed their second child Marisa (Rob Cazzola), in 1964 Susie and later in 1975 David (Tina).

Dad worked most of his years at General Electric. Dad always enjoyed his garden where he would grow the most amazing tomatoes, radicchio and assortment of other delicious vegetables. He also loved his red car (which he called his Ferrari), watching the Toronto Maple Leafs (especially Lanny MacDonald), Kentucky Fried Chicken and yes putting Ketchup on everything.

He was the proud nonno of Geoff (Alycia), Michael, Sabrina Cazzola, Matteo and Carmen Guidolin.

Bisnonno to Austin, Domenic and Chloe Cazzola.

Predeceased by his in-laws Erminio Tonello, Maria (Goegan) Tonello and Elide (Tonello) Bonin.

Survived by in-laws Valentino Bonin, Guerrina (Tonello) Tieppo and Anselmo Tieppo in Italy.

At this time, we would like to whole heartfully thank St Joseph’s home overnight program where he thoroughly enjoyed himself especially playing cards and doing crafts. We would also like to thank Stirling Heights Nursing home for taking care of dad until the end with dignity and grace.

We would also like to warmly thank Connie my mothers’ neighbour for all the support she has given our family during the years.

Due to Covid-19 there will be no visitation and a private family service will take place at a later date.

To honour our father, please spend some time with yours and if he is not with you say a prayer for him.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Joseph’s Home on his memorial page at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
