HAMMOND, Edwin Allen

Known to family and friends as Ted or Teddy, at the prime and slightly seasoned age of 72 years, surrounded by love and full of laughter and tales to the very end, passed away suddenly, after a brief battle with cancer at the Guelph General Hospital, Guelph, on Saturday, September 3, 2016. 

Ted has gone to be with his beloved wife Sheila Ann (nee Hoskins) (2012), and he will be lovingly held in the hearts of his children Lorraine, Katherine, Edwin, Shelly Grant (Corey) and Deborah (Jesse), and by his 8 grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face. Ted will be greatly missed by his sisters Carol (John), Deborah (Gary), and by his brothers Russ (Frankie) and Jim (Nikki). 

The family will be receiving visitors at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment of Ashes will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Community Care Access Centre, Guelph (CCAC) would be appreciated by the family.
