(November 30, 1924 – March 13, 2017) - Passed away peacefully at the Village of Riverside Glen in her 93rd year, with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of 71 years to the late Nelson (2011). Loved mother and best friend of Donna (John) Kentner and Sandra (Steven) Hilbert. Dearest grandmother of Katie (Kris) Buckley, Heidi (John) Vandervorm, Jeremy (Katie) Hilbert, Ryan (Jenn) Kentner and Andrew (Cassie) Hilbert, and fourteen great grandchildren. Sister of Dorothy (John) Sartor, Jack (June) Weiler and Michael (Marlene) Weiler. Sister-in-law of Clara Weiler, Joan Hatch, Katherine Hatch and Kenneth Hatch. Predeceased by her mother and father Bernice and Alfred Weiler, her sisters Lorraine, Lucy and Barbara, and her brothers Alfred and William.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph on Friday, March 17 from 1-3 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Guelph Firefighters Benevolent Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Mable J. Hatch in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm.
