Of Guelph, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph on Saturday, May 13th, 2017, at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late William Emerson Hicks (2007). Loved mother of William, Marilyn Hicks (Roy), David (Rebecca), Karolyn (Ken) Lennox, Colleen Foster (Ken) and Paul (Donna). Loving grandmother of Tammy (John), Mandy (Chad), Bradley, Kyle (Storilyn), Andrea (Steve), Matthew (Agnes), Stanley (Sarah), Brandon (Cheri Anne), Jessica (Ryan), Jordan (Lotti), Joshua (Emily), Kaylan (Mitch). Great grandmother to 15 great grandchildren. Dorothy will be fondly remembered by nieces Diane, Donna and Janet and nephews Wayne, Gary, Buddy and Carl. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Clara (Dubrick) Boegel, brothers Carl and Cletus and sisters Rita and Margaret.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Wednesday (2-4 & 7-9 pm). Funeral mass will be celebrated at Basilica of Our Lady, Guelph on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 10 am. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society or to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be appreciated.
