Barb slipped away with grace and dignity on April 18, 2016, with her family at her bedside. She was the cherished Mother of Brett (Wenda) and Lee (Cathie) and proud Grandmother of Alex. She was predeceased by her loving husband George in 2012 and her niece Lesley in Australia. Barb will be sorrowfully missed by her treasured brother Les (Nancy) in Australia and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roy and Kay in Virginia, U.S. She will be remembered fondly by her nephew Bruce (Suzanne), her nieces Christine and Jacquie and their families. Barb touched many lives with her generosity of spirit. She will be greatly missed by her wide circle of friends in Guelph and around the world. Special thanks and appreciation go to nurses Steve and Marion who were trusted and valued by Barb during her recent medical challenges. Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph, where visitation will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 10 – 11 a.m., with a memorial service to commemorate Barb’s life to follow in our chapel. Private interment of ashes at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations to Hospice Wellington or to the foundation of the Guelph General Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
