HUCK, John Frederick

Passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. John was the beloved husband for 51 years to Nancy (Knapp). Dear father of Michael and his wife Denise of Mannheim, Bryan and his wife Laurie of Waterloo and Bradley and his wife Helen of West Montrose. Cherished grandpa of Jennifer, Nathan, Josh and Sarah. Dear brother of the late Mary Anne Hackett and her husband the late Gerald Hackett. Brother in law to Diane Sneddon and her partner Gerald Schindel.

John proudly worked for 51 years as an insurance broker with 4 of the 5 Sutherland generations at Sutherland Insurance. He was the Past Grand Knight of Maryhill Knights #6024, a current member of the Elmira Lions Club and was also a member of the St. Boniface Holy Name Society.

Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Church, 1394 Maryhill Rd., Maryhill on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
