It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian D Hudson, of Guelph, ON. He passed away April 15, 2018 at Guelph General Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born in Timmins on June 2, 1953, Brian is survived by his loving wife, Rada, daughter Juliana, son Robert, granddaughters Nevaeh and Wynter, sisters Carol, Linda and Susan and many nieces and nephews. Brian was pre-deceased by his brother Robert in 1975 and his parents, Annie and Tony.

A talented and respected professional engineer, Brian graduated from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Engineering (Chem) in 1977. His career was spent in the automotive industry where he was a tireless problem solver and motivating leader. He worked at General Motors, Magna International and others in Canada and the US where his leadership led to numerous awards for manufacturing excellence and patents for technological innovation in products and manufacturing processes.

Growing up in the ‘60’s/’70’s, and greatly influenced by older brother Robert, Brian had a passion for music that continued throughout his life. Brian was also a creative chef who thrilled his guests with unique variations and offerings. He also made his own beer and wine, tweaking formulae to gain body and flavor. He enjoyed a good scotch on occasion.

Special thanks Dr. Raso and the fine staff at Guelph General for their efforts. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Center for Addiction and Mental Health(CAMH) Foundation, are appreciated. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held on June 16, 2018 in Guelph.
