HYNDMAN, Gerald Douglas

Passed away while surrounded by his family on Tuesday November 29, 2016. He was born on February 13, 1950 in Wingham, ON. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Hyndman and by his son Douglas, of Gorrie. Husband of 44 years and best friend to Lyn Hyndman. The greatest Father to Neil Hyndman and Nicole (Layne) Cardow, of Guelph, ON. "Poppy" to his three grandchildren, Jayde, Joshua and Navy Cardow. Brother to James Hyndman of Guelph, and Gwen (Alex) Strong, of Wingham. Son in Law of Marcia Dawson of Lucknow, ON. Brother in Law to James and Debbie Dawson, of London ON, Curtis and Sheila Dawson of Wingham, and Addin Dawson of Lucknow. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his many friends. Gerry grew up spending his summers on Lake Huron, boating and camping. He loved the water, and being close to it. He adored his family, and got such joy from his grandchildren. He loved family dinners, and sitting by the fire talking about the good ol' days. He loved going to Tim Hortons for coffee with "the boys". He was a car enthusiast and spent many enjoyable hours polishing his vehicles and taking them for a spin. His positive attitude, outlook and work ethic was an inspiration to many.

Friends and Family will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Thursday December 1, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11am.
