It is with great sadness to inform you that our mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 1, 2018.
May James wife to the late Harvey James (May 3, 2015). Predeceased by her first husband, Pat Bangham (Nov 12, 1978).
Mother to Karen Kellman (Jim Boreham) and Michael Bangham. Grandmother to David Kellman (Crystal) and Brandon Kellman. Great grandmother to the late Claire Rose Emma (Dec 25, 2013). Predeceased by parents Edna Dixon (1973) and William T. Colwell (1964).
Our mother was very strong right to the end. May lived life to the fullest, even when she was living out her final years at the Wellington Terrace. Sadly her time was called by the Lord, or maybe a new Dean at the Heaven’s University required an executive assistant.
Special and appreciated thanks go out to the staff at Maple Ridge, who not only treated our Mom as their own mother, but kept her safe and close to their hearts.
Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Friday from 6:30 - 9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:30 am. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of our Mother can be made to the Wellington Terrace - Maple Ridge Section, would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of E. May James in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
