JENKINS, Joan (Hilbert)

1931-2017 — Joan passed away peacefully at LaPointe Fisher Nursing Home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the age of 85. She was the much loved mother of Steven Hilbert (Sandra), Julie Reide (Doug), Vicki Hecktus (Michael) and Shelley Reid (George). Cherished Grandma of Heidi (John), Jeremy (Katie), Andrew (Cassie); Hollie (Mike), Dwayne, Dustin; Jessica (Mike), Courtney; Jason, Melissa (Nghia) and Matthew. Great grandma of ten. Joan will be fondly remembered for her love of Sauble Beach, card games, sports (she was particularly passionate about the Blue Jays) and her love of Elvis and Rock ‘N Roll. Her strong willed personality and ability to make those around her laugh has created many special memories we will forever cherish.  Cremation has taken place and there will not be any formal service. Joan’s life will be celebrated by loved ones at a family gathering at a later date. Memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington in Joan’s name would be appreciated.
