Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Saturday, May 26, 2018 in her 95th year. Edna was the beloved wife of Bruce, who passed away in 2010. She is also predeceased by her sisters Hilda Finney and Lillian Day. Edna is survived by nieces, nephews and close friends Lorna Ronald, Helen Fenton and Vanda McQuinn. Prior to retiring, Edna worked in retail at Woolworths, Walker Stores, then Simpson Sears for 35 years. After retirement, many will remember Edna as the Director of Fundraising with The Guelph Humane Society where she volunteered for 34 years and for 10 years with Meals on Wheels. A heartfelt thank you is extended to the staff at the Elliott Community, Guelph General Hospital and Hospice Wellington for their kind, compassionate care of Edna. Friends may call at GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Wednesday, May 30 for visiting from 1 – 2 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
