KELLY, Marie Velma

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Kelly (nee: Norman), surrounded by the tremendous love of her family, on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 88, following a valiant struggle with cancer. 

She was the most loving and devoted mother to Paula Kelly, Patty Hemsley (Scott), Sandy DeCorso (Paul) and Sean Kelly (Cheryl Anne). Superstar grandma to Emma and Ryan Hemsley and Luke and Will DeCorso. They were the love of her life. Marie will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Sister Doreen Norman and Richard Norman and she was predeceased by her twin brother Murray (Moe) Norman, Ronald Norman and Shirley Newmaster. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Dr. Grace Morrison, Dr. Peter Spadafora and the 4th floor nurses and doctors who went above and beyond to keep Marie comfortable and allow her to enter into eternal life with grace and dignity. Also thanks to Stone Lodge Retirement Residence for making our mother feel at home the past year and a half, and to all her friends and neighbours who helped our mother maintain her independence in her own home until she entered Stone Lodge. 

Her family will receive visitors at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Parish, 175 Emma St., Guelph on Thursday, November 23, 2017. Please check the funeral home website again for Mass time. Interment at Marymount Cemetery.
