Lucella passed away peacefully at home, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She is survived by her beloved husband Hector Lachmansingh; her children Ramon (Rupa) and Sandya; and her sisters May Menke (Fritz) and Doreen Ann Ajodhia (Joe). Predeceased by her parents Dr. Cecil and Averil Subryan and her brothers George, Jack and Denis.
Lucella was born in Springlands, Guyana on February 27, 1935. She immigrated to Canada with Hector in 1968 and has lived in Guelph since then. She cared greatly and recognized the importance of recycling and composting. In her spare time, Lucy enjoyed gardening, reading, baking, sewing and puzzles.
The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Paul Mendonca, Danny Lui and his staff at Prime Care Pharmacy, Bayshore Home Health's nurses, Bob and Susan Hadaway and also neighbours, friends and family for their compassion and support during this difficult time.
A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, 519-821-5077, on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
