LEY, Gary Alan

Posted

Of Guelph passed away sadly after losing his battle with cancer at Hospice Wellington on March 15, 2016 in his 54th year.

Beloved husband of Tammy. Loved father of Colton, Brianna and Michael.

Dear son of Russell and Nancy Ley and son-in-law of Delores Spencer. Brother of Steven (Bonnie), Barry and Jeffrey (Amanda).

Uncle, cousin and nephew to many loved ones.

A proud and valued employee of ThyssenKrupp Materials since 1997, Gary took immense pride in his work and truly loved his job and his colleagues.

Gary was also a dedicated coach of the GMBA baseball league in Guelph and loved having the opportunity to coach Colton's teams over the years.

Family and friends will miss Gary's tell it like it is style and sarcastic sense of humour.

Gary's true love and passion was for Tammy and his children.

Whether it was voicing storybook characters while reading to the kids when they were small or playing catch in the backyard, Gary took pleasure in watching the kids enjoy their various activities.

Gary's proudest accomplishment was being a loving husband and father who provided constant encouragement and unconditional love to his family.

Cremation has taken place and a family celebration of Gary's life will take place at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051 or www.wallcustance.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to an education fund established for Colton and Brianna or donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.

A tree will be planted in memory of Gary A. Ley in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
