With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Ley at Groves Memorial Hospital on May 25, 2023 at the age of 97. Loving wife to the late Kenneth for 50 years. Proud mother to Darlene and predeceased by her daughter Laurie and her son Kerry. Treasured grandmother to Robyn, Kevin, Ryan, Parrish, Alexander, Cameron and Colin. Loving great grandmother to Zachary, Callum, Lachlan, Declan, Emmett, Anderson, Parker, and June and predeceased by William and Luna. Cherished sister to Wayne and predeceased by Lloyd and Beverly. Predeceased by her parents Edna and Albert. Will be missed by all her friends and extended family.
Shirley was one of a kind, a very special lady who enjoyed her long life to the fullest. The family would like to thank Groves Memorial Hospital Fergus, Dr. Muldoon, and the nursing staff for their care and compassion.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where a Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 2pm followed by a reception in the Hart Fellowship Lounge.
