After a long and wonderful life Edna Grace Lush (Scott) passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen in Guelph on Wednesday January 9th, 2019. Edna was in her 102nd year and while she has left us, she has been reunited with her beloved husband Cameron (December 1, 2000). Loved mother of David and wife Ruth of Kitchener and Alex and wife Linda of Rockwood. Edna will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin, Darrin, Steve and Kathy, Brent and Chantal, Shauna and Jody and her great-grandchildren Zachary and Sarah, Taylor, Abby, Jesse, Emily, Dalton and Heath. Predeceased by her siblings Gordon Scott, Hazel Marsden and Gladys Robinson. Edna will also be missed by many extended family members and long-time church and community connections. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff at the Elliot Community, where she resided for years, and Riverside Glen, where she lived for the past year, for the gentle care and support they provided to Edna. Special thanks to Nurse Becki. The family would also like to thank Scott and the staff at Wall-Custance for their exceptional support.
Funeral and visitation will be held at Barrie Hill United Church Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 1- 2 pm. with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Interment Eramosa Union Cemetery. Reception to follow at Barrie Hill United Church. Memorial contributions to Barrie Hill United Church, Eramosa Union Cemetery or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
A tree will be planted in memory of Edna G. Lush in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 2:30 pm.
