MACKINTOSH, David William

Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 at the age of 55. David was the cherished husband and best friend of Carla (LoStracco) and adored father of Bryce. Beloved son of June and the late William MacKintosh and son-in-law of Nick and Maria LoStracco. He will be fondly remembered by his in-laws Franco and Sue LoStracco, Roberto and Joanne LoStracco and Marc and Lisa Blue. Beloved uncle of Laurel, Joel, Nicholas, Tiana and Aidan and cherished nephew of Marilyn and Brian Chandler. 

David had a great love for his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to share his boating passion and spending time at the cottage with family and friends. David cherished watching and cheering on his son while he played soccer and hockey. David dedicated 30 years to being a first responder, positively touching the lives of everyone he met along the way.

David will be greatly missed by his many family, friends and co-workers.

Family and friends will be received at The Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, on Friday, August 10th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the chapel on Saturday August 11th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family.
