Of Guelph (formerly PEI) passed away in August after a brief illness. He graduated with a Mus.Bac. from the University of Toronto. He was an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music and taught thousands of students over his 65 year career in education. He is predeceased by his daughter, Bridgette, and survived by his wife Louisa, their three children, Dr. Daniel MacPhee (Saskatoon), Dr. Chantelle MacPhee (Florida), Dr. Ian MacPhee (Guelph) and four grandchildren: Brian, Chevy, Claire and Jack.
The family would like to thank Dr L. Diaz, the Nursing staff on the 6th floor West at Guelph
General Hospital, and the Nursing staff at Hospice Wellington for their excellent care and
compassion. Cremation has already taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Robert and Bridgette MacPhee Memorial Prize for Creative Writing at the University of Guelph would be appreciated.
