Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Home in Arthur on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, in his 82nd year, with his family by his side. Carlo was the beloved husband of Stella Mascotto Martini. Loved father of Lorena, Morris, Manuela, Roberto (Nicole) and Roni (Shelley). Cherished grandfather of Tyson and Vanessa Porcellato, Amanda and Taylor Martini, Tori Cassel Martini and Isla Martini. Son of the late Rugero and Estera Martini. Dear brother of the late Primo Martini and family from Italy, and the late Giovanni Martini and family from Toronto.
He was a long time member of the Italian Canadian Club of Guelph. Our family would like to thank all the staff at Caressant Care in Arthur and the physicians who cared for Carlo. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 409 Paisley Rd., Guelph on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
A tree will be planted in memory of Carlo U. Martini in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 2:30 pm.
