MATTHEWS, Jerry William

Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday,
February 16, 2018. Jerry W. Matthews, age 91 years, was the beloved
husband of Angela (Belletti) Matthews. He was the loving father of Joan
and her husband Kirby White of Edmonton, AB, Julia and her husband Rick
Turchet of Regina, SK, Peter and his wife Karla of Cambridge, Gregory and
his wife Sarah of Guelph, John and his wife Elyse of Burlington, and
Jeffery of South Africa. Jerry was the proud grandfather of 15
grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Margaret Sullivan and her late
husband Jack of Guelph, and the late Louis and his late wife Mary
Margaret, and the late William and his late wife Fran. Jerry was a
passionate and hard-working lawyer, wanting to help anyone who called. He
was a devout member of Holy Rosary Church, but above all else, Jerry
cherished family and friends, and his laugh will be remembered.

Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252
Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive their friends on 
Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Jerry will
be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. A
Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church 175 Emma St. Guelph, on
Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Marymount
Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Holy Rosary
Church building Fund, or to St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation would be
