It is with great sadness that we announce that our cherished father, Donald Kenneth Maude, passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in his 72nd year, with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend to the late Anne Marie Maude (Nov 2014). Loving father of Stacey (Chris) Maude, Tammy (Mike) Weir, and Robin (Nick) DiPaolo. Loving grandfather of Rubyjane, Liam, and Lucas. Dear brother of Jean (Don) Floto and Christina Maude. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Will be fondly remembered by dear friend Mary Lou Amos. Predeceased by brother-in-law and best friend Gordon Corrigan (2004).
Cremation has taken place and a private family ceremony will be held. A memorial gathering to celebrate Donald’s life will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 3-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital or Hospice Wellington would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Donald K. Maude in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph Arboretum. Dedication service, Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 2:30 pm.
